Nestled in the
heart of the countryside and yet only thirty five minutes drive from our capital, Wellington,
Arorangi Bed and Breakfast is the perfect choice when you are looking for a much needed break or a
place to escape, relax and unwind. Arorangi Bed and Breakfast is the perfect base for walkers,
trampers, cyclists, mountain bikers, hunters, fishermen and fisherwomen
After a long day exploring the local area or returning from shopping in the vibrant city of Wellington why not kick off your shoes, relax with a glass of local wine and enjoy the peace and views across the Mangaroa Valley. When the sun begins to set and the sky turns to dark blue, look up and study the night sky.
The
homestay, Arorangi Studio, is beautifully decorated with a
peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, a comfortable Super King sized bed, good quality linen an electric
blanket and heating for those cooler evenings. Arorangi Studio is your own personal space, with it's
own entrance whilst still being part of the main house and is a self contained studio with en-suite
shower, WC and kitchenette.
Should you require additional accommodation, we also have 3 rooms available for rent in the main house. There is a Guest toilet and full bathroom (bath, toilet and shower) that is shared between these 3 rooms.

Centrally located in the lower North island, this means Wellington city is never far away approximately 40 minutes by car or train, the airport is close at hand and should you wish collection/drop off this can be pre-booked.
The fabulous Kapiti coast is within easy driving distance and the Wairarpa wineries are a hop across the hills and you are right in the heart of some of the most famous vineyard's in the New World.

I stayed at Arorangi Country B & B overnight when I was doing a 3 day Rimutaka trail cycling trip organised through Dave from 'Everyone's Adventures'. It was beautiful accommodation in a picturesque setting with a wonderful attentive host, Ann, and lovely home made food. I was fortunate to be able to use the movie room and relaxed after the bike ride by watching one of the Lord of the Rings movies. My bed was super comfy and the self contained room had everything I needed.
As I was travelling on my own, it was great to have support and interest from Ann, particularly as I was a bit unwell during the evening and overnight.
If you are looking for somewhere in the area to stay, book this property! I would definitely stay again if back in NZ. Highly recommend.
